In the Name of Crom

Warrior and blacksmith, Nial; husband to Maeve and father of the future King Conan. Nial passed on his warrior ways to his son Conan at a very young age, before being murdered and having young Conan snatched away by Vanir Raiders to be sold as a slave at the wheel of a grain mill at the village of Thurdvang.

Engraving:
The blade is engraved with Runes reading
"THIS YOU CAN TRUST ". In the early scenes of the movie Nial advises young Conan "For no one - no one in this world can you trust. Not men, not women, not beasts. This you can trust." (Conan the Barbarian; Warner Bros. 1982)

The reverse of the blade reads: "WIELD THIS IN THE NAME OF CROM ". Homage to the Cimmerian philosophy to "Suffer no guilt ye who wield this in the name of Crom".
