Wand of Flame This wand is sculpted from a piece of 'Lace' Sheoak - Allocasuarina fraserana - very rare, found only in a small area of Western Australia, with only maybe 1 in 1000 Sheoak trees showing this lacey type of grain figure (see below). Lace Sheoak features this grain that looks like flickering tongues of flame. This tree lived in the sunburnt outback, and had survived a lashing of Australian Bushfire as well. The outer of the piece had been charred black, evidence can seen at the blackened tip of the wand still showing the charring, though only structurally sound wood was kept.
